A few weeks after hitting store shelves, the new Apple Watch Series 8 is on sale on Prime Day in October.
Apple’s latest flagship smartwatch has dropped to $349 during the Prime Early Access sale, which is a $50 savings and the first major discount we’ve seen on a new wearable. If you want the larger 45mm size, you can also get it for $50 off for $379. As of this writing, both variants are available in Product Red and Midnight colors, each of which includes a matching sport strap.
The best overall smartwatch
The Apple Watch Series 8 offers great health and fitness tracking and fast performance, and it just got its first big price cut on Prime Day in October.
When we reviewed the Apple Watch Series 8 last month, we called it a nice (if iterative) improvement over the best smartwatch you can buy in a long time. Important new features include temperature sensing, designed to help people trying to conceive to track their egg cycles, and collision detection, which uses sensors to detect when you’re in a car accident and can contact emergency services on your behalf.
New perks aside, it’s more of the same Apple Watch, now slightly faster, and has consistently great health and activity tracking. Like previous models, it’s designed for the iPhone, so you can stay on top of your messages and notifications without taking your phone out of your pocket.
Those with a recent Apple Watch don’t need to rush into a Series 8, but it’s a great buy for anyone rocking a Series 5 or earlier — especially at this sale price.
