Aston Merigold and his wife Sarah are still ‘floating on cloud nine’ after their wedding.
The 34-year-old pop star and his long-term partner recently tied the knot at the Palm House in Liverpool’s Sefton Park, and the dancer admits they are still “buzzing” after their big day.
She shared: “We felt like we were floating on cloud nine. For most of the wedding, it felt like it was just me and Aston.”
The loving couple have been together for ten years, and the JLS singer cherished every moment of their wedding, describing it as “the most special day” of his life.
Aston – with four-year-old Grayson and two-year-old Macaulay and Sarah – told well! Magazine: “What better way to celebrate our 10th anniversary together than by getting married. Everyone was full of energy and full of love.
“It was the most special day of my life, without a doubt. One of our friends said that if they weren’t engaged, he would propose at some point because the room was full of love.
“When I met Sarah, I knew it was for me. We had a mad love and we would do anything for each other.”
Aston and Sarah were surrounded by friends and family on their big day. But the bride kept everyone waiting because her own wedding was about an hour late due to traffic issues.
She explained: “I’m always late. Rochelle [Humes] Said to me the night before, “It’s a tradition for brides to be 20 minutes late”, so I thought, “Great, I’ll take it,” but then the traffic was so heavy.
“It made me nervous because we didn’t seem to be making any progress. I just wanted to stand next to Aston and I hated the idea of him standing there waiting.
“My bridesmaid was holding my phone and I was like, ‘You need to text Ast and tell him I’m coming!'”
