Alabama Goods, a retail company specializing in Alabama-made gifts, food and specialty merchandise, has signed two leases to expand its business and retail operations. Signed a lease to open a third store in Stadium Trace Village, on the corner of John Hawkins Parkway and Stadium Trace Parkway. Alabama Goods will be about 2,500 square feet, along with two restaurants and a retail store. The store’s opening date, which was scheduled to open in July 2022, has been pushed back to accommodate construction delays. Construction should be completed by summer 2023. Alabama Goods currently operates retail stores in Homewood and Huntsville. In addition, a lease was signed to support the expansion of the operations center in West Homewood, which manages the company’s online and enterprise sales. Speir will report to Regional Chief Financial Officer David Turner and will lead the bank’s enterprise-wide strategic planning process and corporate development initiatives. He will be responsible for the bank’s M&A strategy, identifying opportunities across regions to further expand its range of specialized capabilities and high-value financial services to banking clients. In addition, he will oversee the bank’s small business investment firm and strategic equity investment program. Speir brings 20 years of experience to his new role. He previously served as Regional Assistant Treasurer and Head of Balance Sheet Management.
