Both Britain and the United States have ruled out sending F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine.
Downing Street said it was “impractical” to send them to Ukraine to step up the fight against Russia.
U.S. President Joe Biden answered “no” when asked by reporters if he would send the F-16 to the front line, and confirmed that Washington would not supply Kyiv with any of the jets.

Earlier, Ukrainian officials stepped up calls for allies to donate advanced warplanes so they could control the airspace.
They currently use old Soviet-era jets.
There are concerns that sending such technology could exacerbate conflict and be Russia Join the war as a NATO country through a proxy.
On Tuesday, the prime minister’s official spokesman said: “The UK’s Typhoon and F-35 fighter jets are so advanced that it takes months to learn how to fly them. Given this, we do not think it is practical to send these jets to Ukraine of.
“We will continue to provide and expedite military support to Ukraine and listen carefully to their requests.
“The length of time it takes to learn how to use very complex equipment is the limiting factor in this case, but we will explore what else we can do to support Ukraine.”
On Monday, Britain’s defense secretary said he was open to joining any alliance that would provide the jets in the future.

Ben Wallace told parliament some countries had said they would not send weapons and then backed down.
French President Emmanuel Macron also did not rule out the possibility, but said certain conditions would need to be met.

The renewed call to buy the jets came after Western allies agreed last week to donate dozens of tanks to the war effort.

However, it is believed that some of these could take several months to be delivered and ready for combat.
